Here we have gathered the most common questions we receive about the GAP platform and GAPbot.
Thanks to "Sun Bathing Mode" and integrated solar panels, GAPbot can theoretically operate indefinitely under favorable light conditions. In heavy operation without sunlight, the batteries last up to 48 hours.
Yes. We use a "Zero Trust" model and Edge AI. This means that sensitive data, such as camera images, is analyzed locally on the robot and never needs to leave for the cloud. In addition, communication is protected by Post-Quantum Cryptography.
Absolutely. GAP Platform supports industry standards such as OPC-UA, Modbus, BACnet and MQTT. We also have open APIs for custom integrations.
GAPbot is built for Nordic climate and tough environments. The electronics are hermetically protected (corresponding to IP67) to withstand dust, mud and heavy rain.
GAPbot is modular. Most parts, such as legs or sensors, can be clicked off and replaced in the field without tools ("Plug-and-Play").
